Finland hosts almost 200 000 lakes spread out in the whole country, perhaps explaining the love of Finns for fishing and wild bathing after sauna no matter the season. These lakes, especially those located in Lapland, also provide Finland drinking water of a rare quality, having been awarded purest water in the world several times. The lake we offer to take you on is named Kangosjärvi and located 28km North of our School. It is connected to the Muonionjoki (check out our River boat tour!) and measures over 5km on its widest area. Yet it is much wider than it is deep, reaching an average of 3.5m of depth and a maximum of 11.2m. Nonetheless, it is home to many species of fish such as perch, pike, common pike, whitefish, roach, and many others that we challenge you to catch! This boat tour takes place on Kangosjärvi and has many options available: 1- Enjoy 40min on the lake 2- Enjoy 2h to 3h on the lake and up the river with a snack included on the riverbed 3- Spend 2h to 3h on the lake with fishing 4- Spend a full day with fishing and a picnic lunch in the forest (beware of the mosquitoes!). For any option, all gear is included, along with the journey from the School and back, and the food/drinks if mentioned. No more than 2 people can come at the same time. You must wear the safety jackets at all times and listen to the guide!
